Therapy for life in motion [or at a standstill]

Life can start to feel like a loop of endless tasks, filled with expectations about who we should be and what we should achieve.

In therapy, life changes are often called transitions. Transitions, anticipated or unexpected, are the process of coping, adapting, and adjusting to one situation from another. Transitions affect our thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and, sometimes, our sense of identity.

Eventually, the pace catches up with us. Whether you feel weighed down or stuck in place, that restlessness often signals a turning point. Change rarely arrives when we feel ready, and not every season is bright or easy. Autumns and winters are part of being human too.

We are surrounded by advice on finding happiness and balance in our work, homes, and relationships. But those messages may overlook the quiet, messy, deeply human work where real growth to takes root.

Willow & Thyme welcomes all parts of being human: the steady, the uncertain, and the in-between. Our most uncomfortable moments often mark the beginning of transformation, even when we can't yet see it. Therapy offers a chance to pause in the midst of change, notice what is unfolding, reconnect with the resilience you already carry, and respond with intention rather than reacting out of habit.

Hello, it's nice to meet you.

I’m Shauna, the person behind Willow & Thyme.

My training and experience as a psychotherapist give me the privilege of witnessing people's stories unfold during some of the most tender and profound moments of their lives. It sounds serious, and it often is, but there is also plenty of room for laughter, mistakes, and shared interests, namely book recommendations. I believe healing happens in relationship, so, alongside theory and research, curiosity and genuine connection form the foundation of our work.

Whether you’re seeking support for just a little while or over a longer stretch of time, I’ll walk alongside you with gentleness and accountability.
